The MX-20Mk2 delivers a substantial performance upgrade compared to the original design, with upgrades to the LCR and Subwoofer modules.

Let's take a look at the LCR module upgrades:

The original 10 inch drive in the MX-20 Mk1 is replaced with a 12 inch driver in the MX-20 Mk2. The MX20-Mk2 12 inch driver has a bigger 2.5 inch voice coil that delivers higher output and lower distortion than the original 10 inch driver.

A patented Krix constant directivity waveguide with a one inch compression driver replaces the original doped fabric, dome tweeter and waveguide delivering controlled dispersion, precise high frequency detail, and improved dynamics.

The power handling is increased from 500W to 700W due to the improved 12 inch driver and provides for greater headroom and therefore, more clarity.

Now lets look at the Subwoofer module upgrade;

This new design allows the subwoofer to be oriented up or down. Added to the new design is dual terminals to make any configuration easier to install.

Post-Production
This is a bonus for professional installations where the subwoofers can be positioned to the optimum monitoring height ensuring a clear and precise bass performance in the critical 25Hz to 80Hz range.

Home Cinema
For the serious home cinema this means the bass performance can be positioned to suit any well deigned room, providing an excellent monitoring environment. Listen to movies as the director intended.
