Faux: Look 1 (Fur) Repost

Look 1 aims to address the cruelty within fur. It consists of a white faux fur dress dip-dyed in red pigment, as well as a cage corset. The dress symbolizes the fur animals involved in the fashion industry while the red detail is meant to represent the bloodshed not only within animals, but also within the workers and the environment. The corset is a direct reference to the tiny metal cages that fur animals are kept in before they are slaughtered.

Sorry for posting these again. I got some time recently to finally edit the photos the way I initially planned. I couldn't do this the first time I posted because I was lazy lol.

Faux: Look 2 (Leather) Repost

Look 2 aims to address the cruelty within the production of leather. It consists of a black faux leather biker jacket with blood red rhinestone detailing and a matching pencil skirt. The cut of the skirt symbolizes the cowhides in leather tanneries that exploit workers and communities in third world countries. These tanneries put workers and nearby communities at risk for developing chromium poisoning and cancer. The blood red rhinestones represents the bloodshed and cruelty against workers, the environment, and the animals in the production of animal-derived clothing.
