In the Philippines, many of us grow up with beliefs about intimacy that may feel more like 𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙨. These cultural expectations can shape how we love, trust, and relate to others—but they don’t always reflect our deepest needs or values.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙗𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. Sometimes, we must experience life as it is—making mistakes, exploring feelings, and learning the hard way. It's in these moments that we discover the truth about what truly feels right for us.

Doing what’s right often requires sacrifice. It may mean letting go of habits, relationships, or even old versions of ourselves to grow into something better. The 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩 happens when 𝙬𝙚 feel ready, not when others tell us how to live or judge us for not fitting their mold.

So instead of harshly judging those who are finding their way, let’s offer understanding and encouragement. Everyone has a 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝 to discovering the truth—and the 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣.
