𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 (𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔)

The Legal Management Society (LMS), together with the Sebastian Office of Legal Aid (SOLA), conducted a meaningful and eye-opening jail visit at the Makati City Jail under the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

This outreach program was conducted for the Female Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in celebration of Women’s Month, with the aim of reinforcing its commitment to understanding the law not only as a system of rules, but as a lived reality for many individuals. The activity serves as an extension of classroom learning, allowing members to witness firsthand the conditions, processes, and human stories within the correctional system.

One of the highlights in this morning’s program was the legal aid rendered by SOLA interns—4th year law students of the San Sebastian College of Law—who provided guidance and clarification to PDLs on their cases and rights under the supervision of Atty. Kidd Gayos, Atty. Aris Dumlao, Atty. Ryan Lopez, and Atty. Ryan Ceazar Romano.

The Legal Management Society created and facilitated a well-prepared outreach program, organized activities, and distributed meals and essential goods, while a shared musical moment fostered unity among PDLs, students, and BJMP officers.

Overall, the activity centered on the importance of legal awareness, dignity, and compassion in the pursuit of justice.
