𝑪𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑫𝑶𝑵𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵! 📢

In time of this crisis, Many filipinos shows their compassion and empathy towards the victims of this tragedy and many stakeholders including individuals, volunteer groups, government organizations, local government units, local and international non-government organizations and volunteer organizations work together to uplift the lives of each individuals that shows the “bayanihan” spirit of the Filipino people.

In response, Centro Escolar University’s Community Outreach Department is launching a university-wide initiative: the CEU 3-in-1 Donation Drive with the theme: 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑵𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 (𝑩𝑨𝑵𝑮𝑶𝑵). This program aims to extend empathy and solidarity to our fellow Filipinos affected by these recent earthquakes and calamities.

Aligned with CEU’s core values and philosophy of “Science and Virtue,” the disaster response program will focus on providing aid to individuals, families, and communities most affected in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The initiative, titled 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑵𝒖𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒐𝒑𝒆 (𝑩𝑨𝑵𝑮𝑶𝑵), will be conducted simultaneously across CEU’s three campuses in Manila, Makati, and Malolos. The Community Outreach Department/Section of each campus will spearhead the drive, coordinating all donations and facilitating their turnover to identified partner organizations responsible for distributing aid to the beneficiaries.

Through this united effort, CEU continues to embody the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, contributing to the nation’s recovery and resilience in the wake of disaster.

The Philippines is going through challenging times, as one typhoon follows another. Heavy rains and widespread flooding have severely affected many areas, leaving many Filipino households in urgent need of help and support.

With this, Community Outreach Department along with the Community Outreach Movement Pro-Active Student Services (COMPASS) calls on your generous spirit to be a source of hope for those who have been impacted by the Tropical Storm Crising.

In the face of these ongoing challenges, every act of kindness counts. Let’s come together as one community to extend a helping hand to those who need it most.

“𝐻𝑒 𝓌𝒽𝑜 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝓃𝓉𝓈 𝒶 𝓉𝓇𝑒𝑒, 𝓅𝓁𝒶𝓃𝓉𝓈 𝒶 𝒽𝑜𝓅𝑒.” - 𝐿𝓊𝒸𝓎 𝐿𝒶𝓇𝒸𝑜𝓂 🪴💫

In every tree we plant, we plant not just for our own good, but also for the community and, most importantly, for the future of the next generations. Trees are more than just a plant. It has always been a great source of energy, a shed, a protector, and a symbol of life 🌳

In celebration and participation for Arbor Day, a tree-planting activity, “𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐃 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍: 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒,” was conducted at the 𝐋𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐚 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝, 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, on June 26, 2025, led by the Community Outreach Department in collaboration with COMPASS, TEACH, AND SUPPORT and with the cooperation of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - National Capital Region.

With this meaningful action, may we be reminded of the importance of the trees to us and to our environment. Let us be encouraged to take part in doing sustainable actions to heal the planet Earth and contribute towards a healthy and prosperous future 💚✨🍃
