The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that the period for the filing of applications for the August 2025 Licensure Examination for Criminologists (LEC) is extended from May 27, 2025 until June 20, 2025.
All required documents for the filing of an application to take the licensure examination must be submitted to the Commission on or before June 20, 2025.

One of the foremost Filipina leaders in criminology, education, and public service, Dr. Yolanda A. Sebastian-Lira has dedicated her career to shaping Criminology education and the professionalization of the police service. She completed her B.S. Criminology (1969) and Ph.D. in Criminology (2007) in PCCR, paving the way for her impactful roles as an educator, Regional Director of the National Police Commission, and PRC Criminology Board Member.

A distinguished legal expert and educator, Judge Carolina De Jesus Esguerra has dedicated her career to upholding justice and shaping the future of criminology. A proud PCCR alumna through and through, she holds degrees in B.S. Criminology (1986), M.S. Criminal Justice (2013), and Ph.D. Criminology (2020). As a Regional Trial Court Judge in Imus City and former Metropolitan Trial Court Judge in Manila, Quezon City, and Makati City, she has played a vital role in the judiciary.
