Spain has introduced a major step forward for animal welfare! 🐶🇪🇸

Under the country's first national Animal Welfare Law, it is now illegal to keep dogs or cats permanently on balconies, terraces, rooftops, basements, or locked inside vehicles. 🚫

Those who habitually neglect their pets could face fines of up to €50,000 💶 for serious violations.

The law isn't aimed at responsible pet owners—letting your dog enjoy some supervised outdoor time is perfectly fine. 🐾 It also sets limits on how long pets can be left alone: dogs for no more than 24 hours and other pets for up to 3 days. ⏰

The goal is to reduce neglect and abandonment while ensuring a safer, happier life for animals across Spain. ❤️🐕🐈
