Imagine your child tied to a tree, beaten, killed, r***d and left without mercy. Then the suspect was arrested, fed by the government, protected by the law. People criticize former president Rodrigo Duterte for being harsh on criminals—but how about the families who lost their loved ones because of drugs?

We talk about human rights. They hold exhibits and even create spaces remembering those who died in the drug war. Pero unsa man ang para sa mga biktima? Asa ang para sa inosenteng anak? Para sa igsoon nga wala na nakahuman og eskwela kay namatay? Para sa ginikanan nga hangtod karon nag-antos sa kasakit?

Justice should not be one-sided. Pain is not exclusive to one narrative. Kay sa matag “adik” nga namatay, naa pud pamilya nga naghilak. But sa matag inosenteng biktima sa droga, naa pud pamilya nga forever nawad-an.

History should remember everything, not just the faces of those who died in drug war, but also the silent tears of families destroyed by drugs and crime. Kay dili lang usa ka side ang naay kasakit. Dili lang usa ka side ang naay istorya.
