In the Parable of the Vineyard Workers (Matthew 20: 1-16)

Jesus explained how the kingdom of heaven is like..

The first workers labored the whole day,

while the latter labored only an hour,

the first workers grumble when they found out that they all equally

received the same amount despite the length of time they toiled.

yet the focus isn’t on how long they toiled

but on the generosity and graciousness of our God.

Like the first workers, we often fall into the mindset of comparison,

measuring the blessings others receive against our own.

We missed the point.

It is not just about what we will receive from Him,

it is about the character of the Giver. That He is faithful and generous.

So let's avoid comparing ourselves to others.

God knows our need. He sees our faithfulness

and He will reward us in His perfect time.

After all, the greatest reward is eternity with Him for those who accept Him as Lord.

All He asks of us is to trust Him and remain faithful with what He has entrusted to us.

He alone is our portion forever.
