On July 2, 2026, DTI Regional Operations Group Undersecretary Blesila A. Lantayona joined industry leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and MSMEs for the opening of PrintCon 2026, which this year brought together The Paper & Print Conference and the Print Philippines 2026 Exhibition into a single mega conference and exhibition.

In her message of support, she underscored that in today's evolving marketplace, product excellence alone is no longer enough. Packaging, branding, and print have become powerful drivers of competitiveness, transforming ideas into products that connect with consumers and create lasting value.

This year's opening marked a milestone for the industry as PrintCon 2026 and Print Philippines 2026 merged into a single mega conference and exhibition, creating a unified platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, technology, and business collaboration. Anchored on the theme, "A Unified Printing Industry for Regional and Global Recognition," the event underscored the printing and packaging sector's indispensable role in strengthening Philippine industries and enabling MSMEs to thrive in increasingly competitive markets.

Undersecretary Lantayona reaffirmed DTI's commitment to equipping Filipino enterprises with the tools, innovation, and market opportunities they need to grow from product development and design to technology adoption and global market access.
