Alpha One Toastmasters Club

Our latest meeting was a powerful exploration of the Kintsugi philosophy—the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, silver, or platinum.

​True to the theme, we shared our own "Kintsugi stories"—vulnerable and inspiring narratives about how life's cracks and challenges ultimately led to strength and a beautiful, golden kind of repair.

​The prepared speech, “Fixing Modern Democracy,” provided a timely and thought-provoking perspective on repairing societal fractures. This, coupled with the open sharing from all attendees, made for a highly engaging and deeply moving meeting.

​It was a brilliant reminder that our experiences—the smooth and the rough—are what make us stronger and more valuable.
