The Write Food

Vietnamese Phó has been a long-time comfort food of mine. My mom introduced it to me in New York's Chinatown from her days in Virginia and Maryland. The tasty soup will knock off any ailment you may have -- physical or something else. It's the perfect companion, regardless of weather or season. A shame Manila has very little in terms of selection. This location, Prohibition in Greenbelt 5 was our favorite till it closed down.

When I finally get the wheelchair Maro ordered this will be my requested treat: a simmering bowl of Beef Pho.

1 month ago, I suffered from an Acute Stroke on July 1st. It has immobilized my speech and degraded my mobility by 90%, the ability to write my own name, and the capacity to go to the bathroom on my own.

Our plans for the future are now all in flux. A thief entered our home in the dead of night and stole my most cherished possession: my dreams.

Today, I embark on this Journey of Self Healing. I'm a changed man now -- a Diabetic and a PWD. I am grateful for your joining me in this path I now find myself in.
