M. S. G. Virtous Style 05 - Balmung + Stedi & Dspiae Metallic Markers

I managed to snag the last stock of this rare MSG weapon kit from a local hobby shop to pair with my upcoming Garm Ripper. Rejecting the original color scheme, I experimented with fast-drying metallic markers from Stedi and Dspiae. The build isn't quite finished yet, as I plan to add an electroplated mirror marker to the blade and do some further refurbishing.

For this post, I'm going to share with you my plastic-covering technique for exquisitely designed hardcover books like The Chronicles of Narnia Deluxe Edition!

Traditionally, I cover all my hardcover books with 2.6-gauge plastic to protect them from accidental tears and wear. However, since I really love the beautiful design on this edition's book board, I only covered the dust jacket. Now, I can read the book without the jacket and enjoy the feel of the design, while still being able to easily slip the jacket back on whenever I want. I also added a flip-flap cut to the plastic cover so it attaches securely to the book board and won't slide off.

Note, I used the thick 5-gauge plastic cover with my Narnia 🦁. I didn't use the thinner 2.6-gauge as it might crumple.
