What is Biltong?

Biltong is a traditional South African dried and cured meat snack, usually made from large cuts of beef . The meat is marinated in a blend vinegar and spices before being hung to air dry in a controlled environment to protect from the elements for a few days. This process is flavorful and protein rich.
500g of biltong holds 250-300g of pure protein.
