I never thought it would happen to me until one day.

On a quiet street in a Poblacion, Goldie and i lived in a bar together owned by my dad.

Goldie was the kind of dog who believed every walk might be the start of an epic adventure. She loved puddles, sniffing poles, and belly rubs in equal measure. Every morning, her tail wagged with the power of a small engine as she trotted down Kalayaan Avenue with her human, body guard, Roy.

Me, on the other paw, i was more refined. I had a favorite stick i carried like a Greek gods scepter, and a soft spot for sunbeams on alfresco bars steps.

One wet season morning, fate wagged its tail.

At the entrance of the main bar and the alfresco bar whilst eating breakfast, i noticed a new smell during an accidental sniff. Goldie looked up, wide-eyed. I blinked once, waged my tail then licked her face.

From then on, her stance inside were perfectly timed. She brought me pleasures —and in return i gave her a chewed tennis ball, a rope toy i was particularly proud of. I shared my stick. Sometimes, we’d roll in the same patch of grass, tongues out, paws touching like something out of a doggy pornhub opening sequece.

Days passed, and she went off heat. The remnants of sweat filled passion blended into our golden coats. Goldie still brought gifts; I still shared my stick.

And every evening, in that same spot where she first smelt bettter than steak and cheese, I pause for a moment, remembering our noses pressed together, tails gently wagging.

She likes to cuddle at night after work

One night to myself that’s all I ask … all I hear is where’s my allowance, I need money for tuition at puppy school … my parents owners tricycle is broken and he can’t buy my siblings food … this is a relationship Goldie not a business transaction. Never again am I dating a girl from tinder. I know you’re stalking me with your fake Facebook accounts Goldie. Woof off
