Happy 171st Bohol Day!

On this 22nd day of July, the people of Bohol come together in unity and pride to celebrate the 171st Bohol Day, honoring the rich history, resilience, and cultural identity of the province.

This annual holiday, declared under Republic Act 7683, commemorates the establishment of the civil government in Bohol in 1854, marking the birth of one of the country’s most culturally significant and historically vibrant provinces.

From the historic Sanduguan between Datu Sikatuna and Miguel López de Legazpi to the establishment of Bohol as the first and only UNESCO Global Geopark in the Philippines, Bohol’s story continues to inspire generations.

As the island province celebrates its past, it also looks ahead with vision and hope, preserving its natural beauty, nurturing its communities, and standing proud as a symbol of faith, unity, and heritage.
