"JESUS MUST INCREASE, ST. JOHN MUST DECREASE." 🕊️✨

The greatness of St. John the Baptist was not found in the number of people who followed him, but in his willingness to step aside when Jesus arrived.

John had every reason to seek recognition. Crowds traveled great distances to hear him preach. Many believed he was a prophet sent by God. Yet when Christ began His public ministry, John did not cling to his influence or popularity. Instead, he joyfully directed everyone to Jesus.

His famous words, "He must increase; I must decrease" (John 3:30), reveal the heart of true discipleship. John understood that his mission was never about himself. He was the voice, but Jesus was the Word. He was the messenger, but Jesus was the Message. He was the lamp, but Jesus was the Light.

This is also the challenge for every Christian today. In a world that constantly tells us to promote ourselves, seek attention, and pursue recognition, St. John teaches us a different path: to make Christ the center. Our lives, ministries, achievements, and even our social media presence should ultimately lead others not to ourselves, but to Jesus.

The more Christ increases in our hearts, the less room there is for pride, selfishness, envy, and the desire for applause. Like John, our greatest joy should be seeing others draw closer to the Lord, even if we remain unnoticed.

May we have the humility of St. John the Baptist, who found fulfillment not in being admired, but in faithfully pointing others to Christ.

Jesus must increase.
Our ego must decrease.
Christ must be seen.
We must become His witnesses.

St. John the Baptist, teach us to lead others to Jesus. Pray for us! 🙏
