APPLE AND ME: A Tech Review of my old MacBook (Rest In Peace 2014-2025)

Dear Son. Alam mo naman na matipid si Daddy, especially when buying gadgets. I’ve owned a lot of computers and laptops in my life. Brought by your lolo, hand-me-down from your Tito Leonard, company issued laptops and personal purchases.

But one stands above the rest: our trusty 2014 Apple MacBook Air.

I bought it in Dubai in 2014 for around 3,500 dirhams or roughly 42,000 pesos during GITEX. Mommy and I used it for our studies, for work and for media consumption. After 11 years, ngayong 2025 lang siya sumuko.

Tandaan, hindi lahat nang mahal ay mahal at hindi ibig sabihin mura ay makakatipid ka. At isang example dyan ay ang computer natin na gawa nang Apple. Matibay, hindi sirain, maasahan.

Although Initial cost nang Apple MacBook is higher compared with other brands of laptop. Pero in the long run, nakatipid tayo.

Tapos nowadays, newer apple computers consume less power that comparable intel/amd powered computers. So sa electrical bill, makakatipid din tayo.

I was about to buy another Apple MacBook pero may nakita ako na mas maganda. Kung anu yun……..to be continued…….
