𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒔𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒎𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒔?🤔
This Christmas season, the 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬 opened their hearts and didn’t hold back — 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿. From passing exams and acing quizzes, to more sleep, less stress, brighter days ahead, and extra happiness, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲, 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘆.
Beyond the fun and laughter, these wishes also 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 dreams of 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 to overcome challenges, and 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 with the people we cherish, showing the 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓– The 𝐋𝐚 𝐠𝐚𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 of 𝐌𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞, in partnership with the 𝐄𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 of 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, proudly hosted its first-ever joint 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 titled “𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱, 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲.” The event celebrated research as a vital foundation of 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in mathematics education.
The program opened with heartfelt and inclusive 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐬, who set a warm and unifying tone for both organizations. This was followed by the introduction of officers by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝐏. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐄. 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐲, along with warm messages from 𝗟𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝐌𝐫. 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐣 𝐍. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐨 and 𝗘𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐘. 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐨 𝐈𝐈𝐈.
The highlight of the morning featured the 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐒𝐄𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 presenting their 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘀. Their work showcased strong academic discipline and provided valuable insight that will guide the 3rd-year students as they soon begin their own research journey. After all presentations, an 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 was held, where participants exchanged ideas, clarified concepts, and engaged in meaningful discussions rooted in curiosity and collaboration. The awarding of certificates, led by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚-𝐋𝐲𝐧 𝐌. 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥, the 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, formally concluded the session.
The symposium continued with research presentations from pre-service teachers, namely:

In the afternoon session, two invited speakers offered valuable and practical insights, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐃𝐂. 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐨 discussed the responsible use of 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, highlighting how AI can support academic writing and streamline certain research tasks when used appropriately. Meanwhile, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐌. 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐝 guided the participants through the 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗣𝗦𝗦, providing clear demonstrations that helped attendees understand how the software supports data analysis. The session encouraged active participation, allowing members from both organizations to assist one another in navigating the tools and concepts.
The event drew to a close with heartfelt 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐍. 𝐆𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧, who continues to inspire Mathematics majors with her unwavering support. The awarding of certificates, led by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐆𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋. 𝐃𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧 of 𝗘𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, was followed by the school hymns and a final photo opportunity to commemorate the success of this collaborative milestone.
