It's Homie, is a 10 month old male St. Bernard owned by Mr. P. Bell of Carmenville Subd., Pampanga, Angeles City.

Initial concerns:
- bleeding paws

Upon check-up and test, he was diagnosed with Canine Babesiosis, a tick-borne disease caused by protozoan parasites that infect and destroy red blood cells, leading to hemolytic anemia.

This disease can be trasmitted particularly after the tick feeds for 2–3 days. It can also be transmitted via blood transfusions, dog bites, or from mother to puppies.

Clinical signs:
- Acute: High fever, depression, jaundice (yellowish skin/eyes), pale gums, weakness, and orange or dark red urine.
- Chronic: Intermittent fever, weight loss, and fatigue.
