To help maintain a focused and distraction-free learning environment, the ESMLE Policy (DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026) provides guidance on how schools should handle cellphone confiscation when learners use their devices during instructional hours.

Here's a quick overview:
✅ 1st Offense – Returned after the subject period
✅ 2nd Offense – Returned at the end of the school day
✅ 3rd and Succeeding Offenses – Turned over to the Office of the School Head and released only to the learner's parent or legal guardian.
