‎Last March 24, 2026, we 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 our final 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, together with the 𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗡𝗨𝗦 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼-𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 gives inspiring messages that will stay with us. An 𝑰𝑵𝑽𝑬𝑺𝑻𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻 is the act of allocating resources into a financial instrument with the expectation of generating future income. The primary purpose of investing is to 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙜𝙤𝙖𝙡𝙨. 🫴🏻💸

Investing began in the 1600s 🏦 as acceptance houses and merchant banks 💰 financed foreign trade 🌍 and accumulated funds for long-term projects overseas. The United States during the late 19th century, had roots in medieval Europ𝙚 where merchants traded commodities like grain and spices. As the fledgling nation took its first wobbly steps, the 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 📈 opened in 1792.

The 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 20𝐬 🎷 brought a new approach focused on what stock to buy and when to sell for a profit, marking the origin of the get-rich-quick scheme. Investors looked for short-term gains and began borrowing money from brokers to pay for stocks that eventually resulted in the Stock Market Crash of 1929 💥.

During World War II 🌎 and the economic boom of the late 1940s and 1950s, the American point of view began to change.

Harry Markowitz 👨‍🦱 and his "Modern Portfolio Theory" emerged, which shifted the focus from market timing to maximizing returns based on the amount of risk involved ⚖️. For the first time, investors sought to diversify by investing in multiple asset classes, establishing a foundation that remains a standard today 📊.

Investment creates value that enables people to turn small investments into powerful results 💡. The process develops discipline and self-control. There were risks and a lot of crashes, but every crash showed one thing: 𝑻𝑬𝑴𝑷𝑶𝑹𝑨𝑹𝒀 𝑳𝑶𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑺 𝑫𝑶𝑵’𝑻 𝑫𝑬𝑭𝑰𝑵𝑬 𝑭𝑼𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬 𝑺𝑼𝑪𝑪𝑬𝑺𝑺.
