Not everything you do needs to have an audience.

Ang dami kong camera. I bring 3 when I travel. I shoot a ton of videos and pictures. But I upload less than 10 photos, if any.

May nagtanong sakin:

"Bakit mo pa ginagawa kung di mo rin pala iuupload?"

Because I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing it for myself.

When I do upload, I'm still doing it for myself - dahil gusto ko lang.

The same goes for my unpublished essays. The songs I wrote. The artworks I painted.

I share my creations when I want to - not because I have to. I don't create for an audience. I create for myself.

Try doing that!

Find something you can do na the only person you'd want to impress would be... well, you.

This isn't about whether you should post online or not. By all means, post whatever you want. It's more about this question:

Para kanino at saan mo ba yan ginagawa?

If it's for strangers from the internet, baka kelangan i-rethink ulit kung bakit?

Even the posts you see here - they're for me. Not for you. Nagkataon lang na nagresonate sila sayo. 😁

And that's exactly why they resonate! Because I do it for MYSELF.
