IN PHOTOS | International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA) Forest Walk 2026

Last March 7, 2026, the International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA) resident members together with the aspirants gathered at the Mount Banahaw Botanical Garden (MBBG) to conduct the IFSA Forest Walk 2026 with the theme "2026 IFSA Forest Walk: Footsteps for the Future; Walking for the Forest". Align with this is the acceptance of the newly members of the said organization.

The activity was headed by Sis Aizer Jane B. Alviso, the current membership committee head. Guided steadily by our forest rangers, the team worked hand in hand in a weeding effort to prepare the site, ensuring that the surrounding vegetation is properly managed for the long-term sustainability.

Following the weeding session, Sis Alviso, together with the other resident members, presided over the official pinning and acceptance ceremony. The ceremony served as a welcoming milestone, officially embracing the new members into our growing family after showing their hard work and dedication.

From weeding the grass to pinning our future leaders, every step we take is a step for our forests. 🌲✨

Do you want to collaborate with professional researchers and strengthen your research competencies? Well, you're in luck because IUFO is conducting a program that aims to do 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭!

This program is called 𝑰𝑼𝑭𝑹𝑶 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 where you can be the mentor or the mentees, but IUFRO suggest for students and early career scientists to choose the mentees program. You will likely have collaboration and learning activities with the professional researcher, including IUFRO members.
