𝗕𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗛𝗜𝗡 | 𝗩𝗣 𝗗𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝟳-𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗚 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮

LUNGSOD NG MAYNILA, Mayo 25, 2023— Inihayag ni Bise Presidente at Kalihim ng Edukasyon Sara Z. Duterte ang pitong (7) priority points para sa interbensyon ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) bilang suporta sa MATATAG Agenda, sa ginanap na Partners Convergence nitong Huwebes sa National Museum of Natural History, Luneta Park.

“As we work towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in basic education, we must acknowledge that no organization or government can achieve them alone. We need strong partnerships that involve all actors, including the private sector, civil society, and local communities,” pahayag ni Vice President Duterte.

Dinaluhan ng education partners, stakeholders, kinatawan ng mga embahada, at local government units, ang Partners Convergence ay resulta ng naging pakikipagpulong ng DepEd sa mga Official Development Assistance (ODA) at local partners nito upang ihanay ang mga kasalukuyan at hinaharap na mga proyekto ng mga partner sa MATATAG Agenda.

Ayon kay VP Sara, plano ng Finance strand ng Kagawaran na i-capacitate ang mga empleyado nito sa loan management systems at mag-host ng financial literacy programs para sa mga tauhan at mag-aaral ng DepEd.

Samantala, uunahin ng School Infrastructure and Facilities strand ang mga interbensyon na nagbibigay-daan sa DepEd na magtayo at mag-rehabilitate ng mga silid-aralan, magtayo ng mga disaster-resilient school, mag-retrofit ng mga silid-aralan, at magkaloob ng mga programa sa electrification and connectivity.

Bukod dito, plano ng Administration strand na i-digitize ang mga forms ng Kagawaran, pahusayin ang mga kasalukuyang sistema, at magbigay ng tulong sa parametric at indemnity insurance nito para sa mga pampublikong paaralan.

Para sa Curriculum and Teaching, binanggit ni Duterte ang pagpapalakas ng Literacy and Numeracy Programs, pagrepaso sa Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education, pag-digitize ng national assessments, at pagpapalakas ng inclusive education programs at teaching approaches.

Higit pa rito, inihayag din ng Kalihim ang mga plano ng Human Resources and Organizational Development strand para sa pagbuo ng kabisaan ng quality assurance, upscaling ng National Educators' Academy of the Philippines, at pagbabahagi ng kaalaman ng mga partner ng kanilang kadalubhasaan bilang kanilang priority intervention programs.

Plano naman ng Operations strand ng DepEd na magkaloob ng mga mobile medical at dental clinics, enhanced school-based feeding programs, learner rights and protection mechanisms, mental health programs, learner and youth program development, at farm-to-table nutrition na proyekto ng DepEd.

Dagdag pa rito, ang Procurement strand ay naglalayong pahusayin ang mga proseso ng procurement ng Kagawaran sa pamamagitan ng tuluy-tuloy na pagpapatatag ng kapasidad para sa mga tauhan at proseso ng digitalization nito.

Ang programa ay nagsilbi ring plataporma para sa Kalihim ng Edukasyon na pasalamatan at kilalanin ang mga pangako ng mga local government units at Official Development Assistance (ODA) partners nito na muling pinagtibay ang kanilang pangako sa pamamagitan ng paglagda sa "MATATAG Partner Ako" committment wall.

Nagpahayag din ng suporta sa DepEd sina Manila City Mayor Maria Sheilah Honorado “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan, US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay L. Carlson, Aboitiz Foundation President and CEO Sabin M. Aboitiz, at Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua.

“Learning lies in the heart of our shared goal, it is our duty to provide quality education that equips our students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to strive in the ever-evolving world,” saad ni Governor Cua.

Sa kanyang mensahe para sa paggunita ng National Mental Health Week, inihayag ni Department of Education Caraga Regional Director Ma. Gemma Mercado Ledesma ang lubos na suporta sa lahat ng aktibidad ng Kagawaran na magsusulong ng kaalaman sa mental health at magpapaunlad sa kapakanan ng bawat mag-aaral at kawani.
