𝐈𝐍 ππ‡πŽπ“πŽπ’ | TECHEx 2026: Information Management Showcase officially kicked off as second-year BSIT students presented their innovative outputs for Exhibition 1, held at the Assemblyman Rafael Recto Gymnasium on April 16, 2026.

Organized by the Tech Innovators Society (TechIS), the event highlighted the students’ knowledge, creativity, and technical skills in developing systems aligned with real-world applications.

The venue was filled with energy as participants confidently showcased their projects, demonstrating not only their understanding of Information Management but also their ability to innovate and think critically in the digital era.

The showcase served as a platform for students to express their ideas and creativity proving that BSIT students are not only tech-savvy but also capable of creating impactful solutions through technology.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Keith Sy Espiritu was crowned 2nd Runner Up, while Elisha Claire Tuscano earned the title of 3rd Runner Up. Both of you showcased not only stunning grace and poise on the big stage but also the intelligence and character that define our community. Your hard work has truly paid off, and you have brought immense pride to us all!

Competing alongside delegates from various institutions, the CICS representatives demonstrated not only technical proficiency but also the discipline and critical thinking demanded by high-level competition.

Anchored in innovation and guided by rigorous preparation, the team translated classroom knowledge into competitive excellence. Their achievement reflects the strength of CICS’ academic foundation where theory meets application, and where students are trained to respond to real-world challenges with precision and creativity.

𝑨𝑫𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑢𝑹𝒀 | Per Memorandum No. 10, s. 2026 from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿ π—–π—Ÿπ—”π—¦π—¦π—˜π—¦ on 𝗙π—₯π—œπ——π—”π—¬, π—™π—˜π—•π—₯𝗨𝗔π—₯𝗬 20, 2026 will be held 𝗦𝗬𝗑𝗖𝗛π—₯π—’π—‘π—’π—¨π—¦π—Ÿπ—¬ π—’π—‘π—Ÿπ—œπ—‘π—˜ due to a scheduled campus-wide power and water service interruption. Students are not required to report onsite. Permanent faculty must report to campus, while guest lecturers will work from home and are required to log their attendance in OEAMS and submit proof of conducted classes to their respective colleges.

π‹π’π­πžπ«πšπ«π² | Ang Ingay ng Hindi Laude

Second year pa lang si Maria, pero pagod na siya sa salitang malapit ka na.

May isang asignatura siyang tres. Hindi pa graduation, hindi pa pagtatapos, pero sapat na iyon para ipaalala sa kanya na malabo na ang salitang Laude. Isang numero pa lang, pero parang buong hinaharap na ang tinamaan.

β€œOkay lang ’yan,” sabi ng iba.β€œBata ka pa,” dagdag nila.β€œMay bawi pa,” paulit-ulit na pang-aliw.

Ngumiti si Maria. Hindi niya alam kung paano ipapaliwanag na may mga bagay na hindi binabawi ng panahon.

Sa loob ng dalawang taon, natutunan niyang sukatin ang sarili sa grado. Bawat uno ay patunay. Bawat mababang marka ay tanong sa halaga niya. Hindi siya bumabagsak, pero parang laging kulang. Hindi humihinto, pero parang laging nauubos.

Ang tres ay hindi bagsak. Hindi rin karangalan. Isa itong paalala na kahit anong sipag, may mga araw na talagang hindi kakampi ang katawan at isip.

May mga gabi na nag-aaral siya hindi dahil may exam, kundi dahil takot siyang maiwan. Ayaw niyang maramdaman na kulang ang binigay niya kahit alam niyang binigay niya ang lahat.

Sa klase, tahimik si Maria. Mas sanay siyang magsulat kaysa magsalita. Mas madali niyang ipasa ang papel kaysa ipaliwanag kung bakit mabigat na ang dibdib niya. Kapag sinasabi ng propesor na mataas ang pamantayan, naririnig niya iyon bilang babala, hindi hamon.

Sa loob ng isip niya, may ingay na ayaw tumahimik.

Laude.

Hindi ito sigaw ng tagumpay. Isa itong reklamo na walang lakas ng loob lumabas. Isang pagod na hindi pa pwedeng aminin dahil wala pa naman siyang napapatunayan.

Minsan, iniisip ni Maria kung kailan siya pwedeng mapagod nang walang paliwanag. Kung kailan niya pwedeng sabihin na hindi siya okay kahit wala pa siyang medalya, wala pang toga, wala pang palakpak.

Second year pa lang siya.
Pero ang pagod, parang pang-apat na taon na.

At sa gitna ng lahat, may isang bagay siyang unti-unting natutunan. Hindi lahat ng laban ay kailangan patunayan. Hindi lahat ng pangarap ay kailangan ipaglaban sa paraang ikinasisira ng sarili.

Tahimik pa rin si Maria. Pero ngayon, marunong na siyang makinig sa sarili.
At sa bawat gabing sinusubukan niyang matulog nang hindi binibilang ang grado, unti-unti niyang tinatanggap ang isang katotohanan.

Hindi siya Laude ngunit hindi pa siya tapos.
