DISCIPLINE NOT DISCIPLINE!

I have seen Battered children, who's parents claim discipline! Discipline does not mean Violence! Punishment does not mean violence. The're ways to discipline a child, whether grounding, time outs, and talking away things like online games and computers. There are more detterents then ever in a age where children posses so many personal belongings. I am not saying a slap on a hand , or a swat in the bottom is abuse. But how many stop them? Is that really an answer? All i know is this. A punch , belts , sticks , kicks , shoes etc....that is abuse, and no way to teach a child, Nor get them to respect you as a parent, Violence is never the answer, nor should it be an option. Period!!
