The worst thing you can do is walk into an interview completely unprepared for the questions they may ask. The majority of businesses client rely significantly on two sorts of interview questions: situational and behavioral. Behavioral interview questions are on prior experiences, whereas situational questions are about hypothetical circumstances and how candidates would manage them.

Some examples of virtual assistant behavioral and situational interview questions are:
✅ Tell me something about yourself.
✅What are your strengths
✅ What's your weakness? Be honest. (Maybe you are impatient, etc
✅ Are you a lifelong learner? What are you studying at the moment?
✅ How long have you been a freelancer? What made you decide to become one
✅ (for seasoned freelancer) How many clients do you have so far? What work have you done for them? (for new freelancer) If I decide to hire you, what work can you do for me?
✅ What is your freelancer service specialization? Why did you choose that niche?
✅ This project requires 40 hours per week. Are you available? What's your schedule like? Can you work on EST time zone? (see job post
✅ Are you a team player? Can you work with teams or prefer working alone?
✅ What is your service fee range for this project requirement?
✅ What is your long-term goal as a freelancer? (specialization, rate, clients)

Along with being prepared for frequent interview questions, having your interview script handy so you may refer to it as needed but never depend on it, be yourself. In addition, if you have any verifiable statistics or concrete numbers to back up what you've done in previous roles, provide these in your answers.

It's natural to feel frightened, overwhelmed, and eager to impress the interviewer. When you're prepared, you can better illustrate why you're the ideal candidate for the job. Knowing your selling points and repeating them throughout the interview is essential.

Make the most of your opportunity to express yourself. Start with a grin and don't be scared to laugh or interact with the interviewer. Even if there is a physical distance between you and the interview, you should treat it as if you were in the office. Finally, don't speak over the interviewer. Allow them to complete their sentence or question. If there is a technological lag and you both speak at the same time, apologize and let them take the lead. Allow them to finish and ask clarifying questions if you don't comprehend the question they asked. Remember to be courteous and respectful.

To ace a virtual interview, you must first establish a strong first impression and make them smile.
