🔹 Manner of Alleging Facts (Sec. 1)
👉 Only ultimate facts, not evidentiary details.

👉 Allowed, even inconsistent.

📘 RULE 6 – KINDS OF PLEADINGS ✍️

⚖️ Main Pleadings:

Complaint (Sec. 3): Starts the case. Must state names, residences, cause of action.
👉 Think: Opening salvo 🎯.

Answer (Sec. 4): Defendant’s response. Can include defenses, counterclaims, cross-claims.
👉 Think: Shield + counterattack 🛡️⚔️.

Reply (Sec. 10): Optional, only to answer new matters in the Answer.
👉 Think: “Last word” option 🗣️.

⚖️ Defenses (Sec. 5):

Negative Defense: Simple denial.

Affirmative Defense: New matter to bar recovery (e.g., prescription, lack of jurisdiction).

Negative Pregnant: Weak denial that actually admits substance (don’t fall for it 😅).

⚖️ Other Claims:

Compulsory Counterclaim (Sec. 7): Same transaction → must raise or barred ❌.

Permissive Counterclaim (Sec. 7): Different transaction → optional.

Cross-claim (Sec. 8): Claim vs. co-party, same transaction.

Third-Party Complaint (Sec. 11): Bring in a stranger for contribution/indemnity (needs court leave).
