𝗦𝗝𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | SJNHS Opens Brigada Eskwela '26; Enrollment Starts

‎San Juan National High School officially launched Brigada Eskwela for School Year 2026–2027 today, June 1, 2026, at the SJNHS Covered Court, with the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” highlighting the spirit of unity, volunteerism, and community participation in preparing the school for the upcoming academic year.

‎As Brigada Eskwela opened, enrollment also officially started, with teachers, students, and parents in attendance. The activity began with registration followed by a parade around the community surrounding the school.
‎
‎The opening program featured an opening prayer led by Ma’am Fatima C. Perillo, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Ma’am Vanessa Teresa A. Lorio. Sir Jesus M. Vargas then delivered his welcome address, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in creating a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for all learners.

‎An intermission number was presented by Ma’am Melania G. Barrios, adding energy and enthusiasm to the program. This was followed by the presentation of volunteers and stakeholders by Mr. Jocel I. Villalon, MAEd, recognizing their invaluable support for the success of Brigada Eskwela.
‎
‎Ma’am Estrella A. Balane, SHS Assistant Principal for Academic Affairs, discussed the enrollment guidelines, while Sir Jesus M. Vargas presented the safety guidelines and work assignments to ensure the smooth and organized implementation of the activities.
‎
‎To conclude the program, Ma’am Russell B. Volante provided an overview of Brigada Eskwela, outlining its objectives and the different tasks to be carried out during the week-long undertaking.
‎
‎The successful kickoff of Brigada Eskwela 2026 marks the beginning of a collective effort between the school and the community. Meanwhile, Brigada Eskwela activities and student enrollment will continue until June 5, 2026.

Today, June 1, 2026, marks the beginning of the month—a time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and promote a society built on respect, equality, and acceptance.

With empathy, understanding, and compassion— everyone deserves to be treated with dignity regardless of gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation. It inspires everyone to be themselves, to fight against discrimination and advocate for a world where everyone is free to be who they are.

May this month inspire us to build a community where differences are embraced, voices are heard, and everyone feels valued.
