DIGITAL ARTS | ENTRY #1

ELESEO ALVINO QUEZON JR., BSHM

This digital art illustrates how “we”, the youths can be able to help prevent and overcome this violence against women in our community. I generated various ideas for me to be able to come up with my entry, the main things that I’ve focused on are: to showcase a representation of the abuse against women, as well as some of the solutions that I believe would help overcome this issue. I also included the idea of empowerment of women as well as justice amongst the victims of this violence. Lastly, is how can the youth help spread awareness and knowledge on VAW through the internet.

In the theme, “VAW-Free Community Starts With Me.” Youth, in my opinion, have a responsibility to be a part of this advocacy since we are the future generation and will continue to fight issues like these. It is crucial that we participate in this type of movement as soon as possible in order to become more conscious of and knowledgeable about society’s concerns. We may help resolve these issues by showing our concern and support, no matter how large or small, and in whatever form it may take. Also, celebrate every woman by encouraging them and showing their worth daily. I’m happy and proud that with this art, I’ll be able to raise awareness about violence against women, and hopefully will help advocate for the year’s theme.
