🗂 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 & 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

On the afternoon of August 14, 2025, the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 was conducted at the BRFIC Amphitheatre, one of the major highlights of the 2𝘯𝘥 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

Eleven research papers on food innovation were presented via Zoom Meeting with three esteemed evaluators from different universities across the Philippines, namely 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮 𝗡. 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 (𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘝𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘜-𝘙𝘋𝘌 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘉𝘊𝘈𝘈𝘙𝘙𝘋), 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗦. 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺(𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘜𝘚𝘛 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘚𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘋𝘖𝘚𝘛-𝘍𝘕𝘙𝘐), and 𝗗𝗿. 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗢. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗼 (𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘐𝘍𝘚𝘛, 𝘊𝘈𝘍𝘚, 𝘜𝘗 𝘓𝘰𝘴 𝘉𝘢ñ𝘰𝘴).

The program began with the house rules and the introduction of the evaluators. Researchers from around the country then presented discoveries on food innovation with potential significant impact, followed by a question-and-answer session where evaluators shared suggestions to make the researches more impactful and applicable.

The main highlight of this session was the lessons and discoveries for better food innovation, such as using mung beans with rice for calamities and adding them to noodles for higher protein. Other notable studies also showed great creativity and potential.

May these results inspire and help not only the food researchers but also those who wish to create innovative and meaningful contributions through food for a better tomorrow.
