Missing my TV reporter days, back when I used to interview the Davao City Police Office. And now, look who the DCPO spokesperson is, my very own Tita, Police Captain Hazel R. Caballero. 🫶🏻

A year ago today, I was in Singapore with my sister Queenderlyn, inside the train, when I received a call from the police.

What was supposed to be a joyful day suddenly turned into sorrow when they told me that there was a plan to assassinate me the following week.

I can still remember the feeling. It was heartbreaking. It was mental torture. I feared not only for my own life, but also for the safety of my family.

As the investigation continued, what broke me the most was discovering that it was ordered by one of the people I trusted deeply – someone I treated as family, not just as an employee. Why? To cover up a much larger scheme that had been slowly eating my business.

After nine months, it crushed my heart to see, for the first time again, the person behind the order to murder me.

Coincidentally, this May 26, 2026, we will have our first official court trial after failed mediations. It falls on the same day I arrived in the Philippines last year – the day I was supposed to be killed.

But God is so good.

I see this as an important part of my story. I believe this needed to happen. God knows what He is doing with my life.

This incident – which is painful because some people even spread that I made it up – also revealed so many truths. It revealed the people who were excited to see me fall and the people who only celebrate with me during the ups.

But most importantly, it revealed the people who truly stayed, helped me, prayed for me, and lifted me up during my darkest moments.

Life is truly amazing.

I am still alive. I can honestly say I am in a better place now. God sends His angels through people I least expect. Despite all my flaws, God still chooses me. For that, I am deeply blessed.

As I posted earlier, this is only the beginning. I will make sure that justice will be served.

And to all the other victims – the teachers, the small entrepreneurs, the co-workers, and everyone who has suffered because of the same kind of betrayal – this is our fight.

Please continue to pray for me as I battle this. Until I do not put that person into prison, I am unsafe.

The lesson: sometimes, even the ones you feed can be the ones who will kill you.

2 years apart.
30 kilograms apart.
Dozens of ups and downs apart.

Better mindset.
Better stress management.
Better health.

May 2024 was really my awakening. I've been obese twice in my life. 2008 and 2024. But 2024 was my worst. Look how stress can do with our bodies.
