NOTICE OF SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION

𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗨𝗠 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦

Fifth day of 2025 National Flag Days. It is a period to show reverence to the National Flag, which embodies all ideals and aspirations of the Filipino nation. In accordance to Section 10 of Republic Act No. 8491 or The Flag and Heraldic Code, the National Flag shall be permanently hoisted, day and night, throughout the year, in front of sites and institutions approved and recognized by the National Historical Commission.

The National Museum of the Philippines stands as an institution for education, science, and culture, dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich and diverse heritage of the Filipino people. The National Museum of Fine Arts, also known as the historic Old Legislative Building, is an iconic structure that has borne witness to significant milestones in Philippine political history, including the 1934 Constitutional Convention and the inaugurations of several Philippine Presidents.

On September 30, 2010, this landmark building was officially declared a National Historical Landmark through Resolution No. 8, pursuant to Republic Act No. 10096, also known as the National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009. In recognition of its enduring historical and cultural value, the Old Legislative Building was designated in 2017 as a 24/7 flag pole site under NHCP Board Resolution No. 8, S. 2017.

Further commemorating its national importance, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) unveiled a Philippine Flag hoisting marker at the National Museum of Fine Arts in 2019, in accordance with Republic Act No. 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines.

The attached E.O. below shows the suspension of classes in both public and private schools and of work in government offices within the Municipality of Labrador on May 14, 2025, and mandatory attendance of the aforementioned stakeholders.
