This Bonifacio Day, we continue the call for accountability and justice in a system that has long deprived the people of accessible, quality education.

Across the country, universities suffer from deliberate underfunding, leaving classrooms overcrowded, facilities deteriorating, and learning spaces unsafe. At the same time, unregulated tuition and miscellaneous fee increases in many institutions show how education has been shaped by neoliberal policies—treated as a private commodity rather than a public right.

Both realities come from the same root: a neoliberal education system sustained by bureaucratic interests, where profit, prestige, and political capital are prioritized over the people’s welfare.

This November 30, we rise to challenge the system that feeds on exploitation and denies the youth the education they deserve.
