Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is a life-saving emergency procedure performed when someone has stopped breathing and if not done well, it can cost someone’s life.

Here are the DOs and DON’Ts in administering CPR

DOs
- Do check for responsiveness and breathing
- Do start chest compressions quickly
- Do provide rescue breaths if you are trained

DON’Ts
- Don’t delay action
- Don’t interrupt CPR for extended periods
- Don’t use too much force
- Don’t ignore recoil
