Doctor sa BARMM parlyamento, Moro, kristiyano at IPs nagpa-kandidato

Naghain na ng kanyang kandidatura si appointed Bangsamoro parliament member Kadil Sinolinding, Jr. bilang tugon sa paghikayat ng mga Muslim, Christian at non-Moro indigenous communities sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area sa probinsya ng Cotabato na maging representatibo nila sa 80-seat parliament ng autonomous region.

Ang physician-ophthalmologist na si Sinolinding ang siya ring kasalukuyang namamahala, bilang minister, ng Ministry of Health-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Pina-proseso na sa tanggapan ng Commission on Elections sa Cotabato City nitong Huwebes, May 7, ng public service team ng tanggapan ni Sinolinding sa BARMM parliament ang kanyang certificate of candidacy, bilang independent candidate, para sa parliamentary representation ng 2nd district ng Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area, na sakop ang mga bagong tatag na mga bayan ng Kapalawan, Old Kaabacan, Malidegao.

Ang naturang tatlong mga bayan ay kabilang sa walong mga bagong tatag na Bangsamoro municipalities sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area na sakop ng BARMM government, ngunit nasa teritoryo ng Cotabato province, isa sa apat na probinsya ng Administrative Region 12.

Ipinaabot sa mga reporters sa Central Mindanao nitong Sabado, May 8, ng mga residente at mga traditional Moro leaders sa 2nd District ng Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area na sila ang naghikayat kay Sinolinding na kumandidato para sa parliament seat ng kanilang distrito dahil kumbisido silang magiging matibay ang ugnayan nila sa 80-seat BARMM parliament sa pamamagitan ng kanyang representasyon kung mahalal sa puwesto.

Ayon sa mga local leaders sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area, kilala si Sinolinding at ang kanyang public service team sa walang patid nilang medical outreach missions sa kanilang mga barangay mula ng siya ay ma-appoint na parliament member at health minister ng BARMM government.

Nito lang nakalipas na anim na linggo, umabot ng 598 na mga batang Moro at mga Kristiyano, mula sa mga mahihirap na mga pamilya ang kanilang natuli ng libre sa mga outreach missions sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area na suportado ng MoH-BARMM, ni Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulrauf Macacua at ni Cotabato Gov. Emmylou Talino-Mendoza.

Sa tala ng mga information personnel ng MoH-BARMM at ng local government units sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area, abot na ng 9,246 na mga residente ng Kapalawan, Old Kaabacan, Malidegao at ng lima pang mga Bangsamoro municipalities sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area ang nagamot, mula 2019, ang ibat-ibang karamdaman, kabilang ang mga problema nila sa mata, katulad ng cataract at pterygium, ng mga field outreach mission group ng tanggapan ni Sinolinding. Lanao del Sur gov may reward sa makakatunton sa mga nakapatay, nakasugat ng mga pulis

Nag-alok ang governor ng Lanao del Sur ng pabuya sa sinumang makakatunton sa tatlong mga wanted persons na nakapatay ng isang pulis at nakasugat ng apat na iba pa ng manlaban ng tangkang aarestuhin sana sa Barangay Catogonan sa Buadiposo-Buntong, Lanao del Sur nitong Lunes, May 4.

Sa isang official statement nitong Martes, kinondena ni Gov. Mamintal Adiong, Jr. ang insidente kasabay ng pag-alok ng earnest incentive sa sinumang makakapagturo sa kinaroroonan ng mga target sana ng naturang law-enforcement operation na sina Sukair Diongcat, Alex Acraman Diongkat at Paiz Diongkat.

Couple local execs reject hostile politics

The vice governor of Maguindanao del Norte and his mayor-spouse on Saturday, May 2, cautioned their constituents against indulging in quarrels on Facebook over what is for them heated regional politics related to the forthcoming September 14 parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Vice Gov. Marshall Sinsuat, a ranking official of the multi-sector Maguindanao del Norte Provincial Peace and Order Council, said on Saturday that Islam and other religions have extensive teachings meant to foster coexistence among culturally and politically diverse communities via peaceful dialogues, something that voters must keep in mind now that tension among parties pitting candidates for the BARMM parliament is heating up.

“Electoral exercises just come and go. Our relationship as neighbors, townmates and as residents of Maguindanao del Norte stays as long as we live. Unity among us is the moral force that shall propel development, progress in our province,” Sinsuat said.

Residents of BARMM’s five provinces, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Basilan and Tawi-Tawi, and its three cities, Lamitan, Marawi and Cotabato, where the Bangsamoro regional capitol is located, have been reading on Facebook, since last month, the heated tirades about regional politics regional officials, local executives and persons using pseudo social media identities.

Vice Gov. Sinsuat’s spouse, Mayor Raida Tomawis-Sinsuat of the tranquil seaside Datu Blah town in Maguindanao del Norte, said all of the barangay officials under her jurisdiction are helping her caution their constituents against the bad effects of getting involved in any political bickering to their efforts of keeping the peace and calm in all fishing and farming enclaves in their municipality.

Vice Gov. Sinsuat and Mayor Tomawis-Sinsuat are both involved extensively in community-based programs promoting cohesion and understanding among their Muslim, Christian and non-Moro Teduray constituents in their hometown, Datu Blah Sinsuat.

Datu Blah Sinsuat, covering 13 barangays, is touted as the most peaceful municipality in the west coast of Maguindanao del Norte, also known the new fishing capital of the province. (May 2, 2026)

Officials close down illegal Cotabato open-pit mineral mining site

The provincial government of Cotabato has cracked the whip on “guerilla style” open pit miners in the mineral-rich Barangay Kanibong in Tulunan town and is keen on prosecuting all those behind it.

Radio reports on Saturday, May 2, stated that subordinates of Cotabato Gov. Emmylou Taliño Mendoza, provincial officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources 12 and operatives from different units of the Police Regional Office 12 stopped on Tuesday the open-pit mining activity in Sitio Kongkling in Barangay Kanibong, based on tips about the extraction of copper and gold in the area by men residing in farming enclaves around.

It was villagers who reported to Taliño-Mendoza’s office, to the DENR 12, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) and the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) about the clandestine extraction of minerals in Sitio Kongkling by men who scampered away when they noticed that a group, composed of employees of the provincial government and the three agencies and policemen were approaching their location.

Mendoza told reporters on Saturday that officials of the DENR-12, the MGB, the EMB, personnel of Cotabato’s Environment and Natural Resources Office and local executives in Tulunan had earlier confirmed that the mining operation in the area is not covered by any permit from the government.

“We in the province will never tolerate such illegal activity. We are thankful to the sectors that helped us stop it promptly,” Taliño-Mendoza, who is presiding chairperson of the multi-sector, inter-agency Regional Development Council 12, said.

Taliño-Mendoza said Cotabato province is covered by stringent provincial ordinances meant to prevent mining operations anywhere in its 17 towns and in its capital, Kidapawan City, without permission from the governor’s office, the Sangguniang Panglungsod and the national and regional offices of the DENR, MGB and EMB. 1 patay, 3 sugatan sa pamamaril sa Shariff Aguak

Na-deklarang dead on arrival si Norjahir Unos Nangka ng mga doctor sa hindi kalayuang Bangsamoro Regional Medical Center sa Shariff Aguak kung saan siya dinala ng mga emergency responders upang malapatan sana ng lunas.

May inaayos na motorsiklo si Nangka at ang kanyang mga kapwa motorcycle mechanics sa Pitsbike Motor Parts sa gilid ng highway sa sentro ng Shariff Aguak ng may pumaradang motorsiklo sa tapat nito na may sakay na dalawang lalaki at agad silang pinagbabaril ng isa kanila ng 9 millimeter pistol.

Maliban sa agad na namatay sa mga tama ng bala na si Nangka, sugatan sanhi ng naturang walang habas na pamamaril ang mga motorcycle mechanics na sina Norjamer Hasim Unos, Paharudin Kambal Usman at Jaher Pananguilan Angeles.

Mabilis na nakatakas ang dalawang motorista na na-record ang kanilang pamamaril ng mga security cameras sa motorcycle shop kung saan nagtatrabaho ng ang mga biktima.

Nagtutulungan ang mga imbestigador ng Shariff Aguak Municipal Police Station at mga barangay officials sa pagkilala sa dalawang mga nagsagawa ng naturang pamamaril. (May 1, 2026)
