In February 1986, millions of Filipinos filled a major highway in Metro Manilaโ€”not with violence, but with prayers, food, flowers, and courage. What became known as the EDSA People Power Revolution was a historic peaceful uprising that reshaped the Philippines and inspired democratic movements around the world.

The EDSA People Power Revolution restored democratic institutions in the Philippines and became a symbol of peaceful resistance worldwide. It showed that unity, courage, and collective action could overcome authoritarian rule.

Today marks the 40th year that EDSA remains more than just a highway. It represents the voice of the Filipino peopleโ€”the reminder that democracy depends not only on leaders, but on citizens willing to stand up for their rights.

The Sarangani Provincial Athletic Association (SPAA) Meet delegates made a striking impression as they showcased their saludo, turning heads and igniting cheers while clad in their vibrant, color-rich jerseys that reflected both athletic excellence and deep cultural pride.
