In line with Memorandum Circular No. 90 issued by the Office of the President of the Philippines, and upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) due to the continued heavy rainfall brought by the Southwest Monsoon, work in government offices and classes at all levels in the Province of Aklan including in the Municipality of Kalibo are hereby suspended on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

This suspension aims to ensure the safety of the public amid the adverse weather conditions.

However, offices involved in the delivery of basic, vital, and health services, as well as those tasked with disaster preparedness and response, shall remain operational to ensure the continuity of essential services.

Government employees who are not required to report onsite may be directed to work under alternative work arrangements, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective management.

We enjoin all Kalibonhons to stay safe, monitor weather updates from official sources, and cooperate with local authorities during this time.
