This is the rendered design evolution of the new St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Kabankalan City. Designed by JLP Rivas Architects & Associates.

Located in Brgy. Talubangi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, the cathedral stands as a symbol of faith and unity for the Kabankalanons. What was once the center of a vast sugarcane field has now become the center of worship, hope, and devotion, which shows how the people’s faith transformed the landscape into a sacred landmark.

The cathedral reflects not only architectural vision but also the deep spirituality and resilience of the community, serving as a home for countless prayers, celebrations, and milestones of the faithful. For the people of Kabankalan, it is more than a structure, it is a living testimony of unwavering faith.

A modern, minimalist two storey residence defined by its clean geometric lines, sleek surfaces, and striking contrast of white walls with black accents. Located at Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The facade highlights a rhythm of vertical and horizontal elements, achieved through the use of slim black slats, tall window panels, and accent lighting fixtures that emphasize the building’s linear form.

Large glazed windows provide natural light while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic, and the integration of accent walls adds visual depth to the crisp white structure. The design also features a glass railing balcony, reinforcing its modernist character while offering functional outdoor space. The garage and gate continue the motif of horizontal slats, creating a seamless and cohesive look.

The Pope John Paul II Function Hall has become a place of gathering for the community, hosting celebrations, milestones, and events that bring people closer together.
