In showcasing the creativity and visionary spirit of the University of Southern Mindanao Radiologic Technology Organization, Julia Jameilla M. Eramis participated in the MARTS 2026 Poster Making Competition held yesterday at San Pedro College in Davao City.

Julia Jameilla M. Eramis proudly secured 4th place in the Poster Making Competition, bringing honor to the University of Southern Mindanao through her creativity, precision, and artistic vision. Her work reflected not only her individual talent but also the passion and dedication of the institution’s aspiring radiologic technologists, making their debut participation in MARTS 2026 truly remarkable.

The event featured simultaneous activities across various categories, including sports, online games, dance, oral presentations, and more. The pioneering batch of Radiologic Technology students from the University of Southern Mindanao attended as the newest members of the Mindanao Association of Radiologic Technology Students, proudly marking their first participation in MARTS.

𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | As MARTS 2025–2026 officially unfolded on March 28, 2026, at San Pedro College in Davao City, more than 12 institutions across Mindanao gathered, each representing their Radiologic Technology programs. The University of Southern Mindanao marked a significant milestone as it participated for the first time after becoming an official member of the Mindanao Association of Radiologic Technology Students.

‎Among the sports events featured was basketball, where the Radiologic Technology Student Society (RTSS) proudly represented the University of Southern Mindanao, carrying not only the university’s banner but also that of their house, Sonorayne.

Breaking new ground, the pioneering Radiologic Technology students of the University of Southern Mindanao went to San Pedro College for Intercollegiate 2026. As trailblazers of their program, SONORAYNE embodies shared skill, unity, and passion as future radiologic technologists—ready to lead, compete, and inspire beyond campus walls.

This milestone marks more than just participation; it stands as a testament to their journey as the first batch, carrying a strong foundation of excellence, resilience, and dedication. With every step forward, they represent not only their institution but also the future of Radiologic Technology, shaped by competence, compassion, and innovation.

This Women’s Month, we honor the strength, brilliance, and resilience of women who continue to break barriers and illuminate progress in every field of life. It is a time to celebrate their leadership, their courage, and their enduring contributions to science, healthcare, and society.

We celebrate 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲—pioneer of radioactivity and the foundation of modern radiologic science. Her groundbreaking discoveries of polonium and radium not only advanced physics and chemistry but also revolutionized medicine through the development of diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy.

Her brilliance and courage broke barriers, proving that women’s intellect and leadership could illuminate paths once thought impossible. Today, her legacy continues to inspire the practice of Radiologic Technology, reminding us that every innovation in imaging and patient care carries forward her light.

This March, we honor her contributions and reaffirm our commitment to excellence, safety, and ethical practice in radiologic technology, continuing the progress she ignited for generations.

Some battles aren’t visible, and healing doesn’t always look the same for everyone. Let’s choose compassion, create safe spaces to talk, and remind those who are hurting that they are not alone. Awareness starts with empathy, and empathy can save lives. 🎗️❤️‍🩹

‎The spirit of competition ignited the ULS Covered Court as the College of Health Sciences (CHS) celebrated its 22nd Founding Anniversary and Advanced Science Day on February 27, 2026.

As part of Pagsaulog 2026, inspired by the acclaimed drama series Game of Thrones, four houses—Lannister, Targaryen, Stark, and Baratheon—faced off in the Sports Category, particularly in basketball and volleyball. The matches were filled with intensity and excitement, highlighting the determination and unity of each house. In addition to that, we proudly congratulate House Stark for securing the Championship title in Volleyball and earning First Runner-up honors in Basketball. The sports competitions proved to be both challenging and rewarding, as players from the four houses demonstrated athletic excellence, teamwork, strategy, and unwavering house pride, earning enthusiastic support from the CHS community.

‎As RTSS’ first participation in Pagsaulog, the event marked a significant milestone for the organization. Beyond the victories and accolades, it strengthened camaraderie among the members, fostered school spirit, and showcased the dedication and resilience of Radiologic Technology students. May this celebration continue to cultivate leadership, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to the ideals of the College of Health Sciences.
