Jolo Municipal Fire Station Receives Invitation to Participate in IPHO Sulu Earthquake Preparedness Activity
The Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Sulu formally extended an invitation to the Jolo Municipal Fire Station to participate in the forthcoming Earthquake Preparedness Activity. The activity is intended to strengthen inter-agency coordination, enhance emergency preparedness and response capabilities, and promote disaster resilience through collaborative preparedness initiatives.

BFP Jolo Municipal Fire Station Rescues Cat Trapped on Electric Post
Personnel of the BFP Jolo Municipal Fire Station successfully rescued a domestic cat trapped on an electric post within its area of responsibility. The cat was safely rescued through the prompt response and coordinated efforts of the responders, ensuring the safety of both the animal and the public.
This operation reflects the Bureau of Fire Protection’s commitment to serving the community and responding to emergencies involving both people and animals.

Safety & Security Deployment for President Marcos Jr.’s Arrival
Under the active and dedicated leadership of FSINSP JAYSON T AHIJON, RN, MPA, Municipal Fire Marshal, the personnel of Jolo Municipal Fire Station were deployed as a Standby Medic and Fire Suppression Team to ensure public safety and security during the arrival of His Excellency President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
The team was strategically assigned at two key locations:
1. Jolo Airport – to provide immediate fire safety coverage and emergency medical response upon the President’s arrival.
2. Sulu Police Provincial Office, Camp Julasirim Kasim, Barangay Asturias, Jolo, Sulu – to maintain continuous standby support throughout the activity
This deployment is part of the Bureau of Fire Protection’s commitment to comply with safety and security protocols, ensuring a secure and orderly environment for the event.
