Longevity in Greens! 🌿
Good nutrition plays an important role in maintaining a healthy and productive life. As the school joins the observance of Nutrition Month, we encourage everyone to adopt healthier eating habits by including more fruits and vegetables in your daily meals.
Health experts recommend eating at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day, as this is associated with a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and certain types of cancer.
Did you know? Malunggay is a nutritious local plant that contains vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, iron, and plant protein. Adding it to meals, such as sinabawang malunggay, is one way to increase the nutritional value of your diet.
Healthy eating starts with informed choices. By understanding the nutrients our bodies need and choosing balanced meals, we can support our overall health and well-being, not only during Nutrition Month, but every day.
