Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na kampanya para sa kaligtasan sa dagat, pinaaalalahanan ng Coast Guard Civil Relations Service (CGCRS) ang publiko na magkaroon ng sapat na kaalaman tungkol sa rip current at sa mga wastong hakbang upang maiwasan ang mga aksidente sa karagatan.

Ang rip current ay isang makitid ngunit malakas na agos ng tubig na nabubuo malapit sa baybayin at mabilis na umaagos palayo sa pampang. Karaniwan itong dumaraan sa pagitan ng mga alon na bumabagsak sa dalampasigan at maaaring magdala ng mga manlalangoy papalayo sa baybayin sa maikling panahon.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The personnel of the Coast Guard Civil Relations Service (CGCRS) participated online in the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Wide Simultaneous Oath-Taking and Signing of the Affidavit of Undertaking for the Non-Use of Dangerous Drugs conducted today, 25 May 2026.

The Commandant of the PCG, Admiral Ronnie Gil Gavan, spearheaded the activity, which was held at the National Headquarters, Philippine Coast Guard, South Harbor, Manila. This simultaneous oath-taking and signing underscored the PCG’s continuing commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace.

Through its participation in this initiative, the CGCRS reaffirmed its full support for the programs and policies of the PCG aimed at promoting a professional, accountable, and service-oriented organization dedicated to upholding the highest standards of public service.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Civil Relations Group – Bicol facilitated the PCG Oriented NSTP-CWTS Graduation and Turn-Over Ceremony on May 23, 2026 at the Annex Parade Ground of the Mariners Polytechnic Colleges Foundation in Legazpi City, Albay.

This ceremony marked a significant milestone in the continued partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and academic institutions, aiming to promote civic consciousness, volunteerism, and nation-building among the youth.
