(1st) Story with Activity: Butterflies on the First Day of School

One of our favorite ways to learn is through stories, and on the first story time our Hoppers were captivated by the heartwarming tale of Butterflies on the First Day of School.

As we turned each page together, we discovered that it's perfectly okay to feel a little nervous when starting something new. Those "butterflies" in our tummies are simply signs that we're about to grow, learn, and experience something exciting.

Through this beautiful story, our little Hoppers learned that a warm smile, a kind heart, and making new friends can help those nervous butterflies spread their wings and fly.

For the their art, the Hoppers created a magical art of symmetry as they created their own butterfly.

This activity builds early spatial reasoning, refines fine motor skills, and introduces fundamental geometry. It sharpens visual perception, aids pattern recognition, and fosters deep concentration.

At Hopscotch Learning Center, we nurture not only young minds but also brave hearts. One story, one smile, and one butterfly at a time.
