Ipinahayag ni Executive Secretary Ralph Recto na iginagalang niya ang paghahain ng reklamo ng Save the Philippines Coalition kaugnay ng paglipat ng PhilHealth excess funds sa national treasury noong siya ay kalihim pa ng Department of Finance.

Ayon kay Recto, handa siyang makipagtulungan sa isasagawang preliminary investigation ng Ombudsman upang luminaw ang usapin, mapatunayan ang kanyang kawalan ng sala, at mapabulaanan ang mga paratang laban sa kanya.

Binigyang-diin din niya na wala siyang kriminal na pananagutan sa nasabing desisyon, dahil umano ay ginawa ito nang may mabuting loob at alinsunod sa direktang mandato ng Kongreso, isang pananaw na aniya’y sinusuportahan din ng ilang mahistrado ng Korte Suprema.

Dagdag pa ni Recto, ito ang unang pagkakataon na naharap siya sa ganitong reklamo sa loob ng mahigit 30 taon ng paninilbihan sa gobyerno, at para sa kanya, bahagi ito ng responsibilidad sa serbisyo publiko.

The man who briefly appeared in Ivana Alawi’s viral vlog—right before Kuya Hesus showed up—has finally spoken up, hoping his message reaches Ivana herself.

After the clip spread online, many people misinterpreted the moment where Ivana said, “Hindi naman ako madumi, bakit ka lumalayo sa’kin?”
Because of that, viewers assumed he was being rude or disgusted by her.

He wasn’t.

Since then, he became the target of jokes, harsh comments, and public shaming. Even people who personally know him began questioning his character, unaware of what really happened.

According to him, the truth is far from what people think. He said he treated Ivana with respect the entire time. He even invited her to eat long before Kuya Hesus arrived. Now, he simply wants to clear his name and let Ivana know how deeply this misunderstanding has affected his life.

In his heartfelt message, he opened up about the embarrassment and pain he’s been carrying, asking Ivana to remove the part where he appeared because people are attacking him both online and in person. He said he never disrespected her and was shocked that viewers twisted the situation.

Behind his imperfect words is someone who is genuinely hurting. He shared that people now laugh at him publicly, judge him without knowing the truth, and treat him as if he did something terrible.

All he wants is fairness.
All he hopes for is understanding.
And above everything, he wants Ivana to know: he never meant any disrespect.

He’s praying that Ivana sees his message so the truth can come out, and the weight he’s been carrying can finally be lifted.
