The building is a bit skewed, isn't it?

This cafe requires an overhanging balcony spanning 12 meters across. A truss-like mechanism is incorporated to help suspend the alfresco area.

I still remember the first time I applied the hypotenuse formula outside the classroom. I hesitated, almost fearing that Pythagoras might be wrong. And if I struggled to trust a proven theorem, how could I be completely certain that a single bolt would truly hold?
