12 Kiosks Burned Down in Oton

₱201,000 worth of 12 kiosks were completely destroyed after a fire broke out in Barangay Pakiad, Oton, Iloilo, yesterday, June 10. SFO1 Judz Romaquin, an investigator with the Oton Fire Station, told The Ink that the fire was first seen in a kiosk owned by Rejen Marie Venzer and spread quickly. Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze.

₱408,000 Worth of M**h Seized in Jaro District

In a recent operation by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo City Police Office, ₱408,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized during a drug bust in Barangay Desamparados, Jaro, on the afternoon of June 8. Authorities told The Ink that suspect Joery Miranda, 47, was caught in the act of selling a plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000. Additionally, another 32 sachets of illegal drugs were recovered.
