𝐓𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐄𝐀 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 2026

During the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Recognition and Donning Ceremony 2026, Milagros Therese Tutanes, Magna Cum Laude, BS Architecture, this year's CEA Outstanding Graduate, delivered an inspiring message that resonated with fellow graduates.

In her address, Tutanes emphasized the importance of accessible education, reminding everyone that learning should be a right, not a privilege.

“𝑵𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒖𝒑 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎."

She also encouraged graduates to pursue meaningful service rather than recognition, sharing a lesson she learned throughout her academic journey:

𝙄𝙇𝙊𝙄𝙇𝙊 𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙔, 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙚 17 — The College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) of Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) gathered graduating students, faculty members, distinguished guests, and proud parents at the Multipurpose Educational Center for its Recognition and Donning Ceremony 2026.

The event recognized the academic achievements, perseverance, and dedication of the graduating Class of 2026 after years of rigorous study and training in their respective fields. Graduates were formally honored for their accomplishments and were donned with symbols representing their readiness to enter the professional world.

The ceremony also featured messages from university officials and invited guests, who encouraged the graduates to uphold excellence, integrity, and resilience as future engineers and architects.

As the program unfolded, the atmosphere was filled with pride and celebration as students marked a significant milestone in their academic journey, surrounded by the unwavering support of their families, mentors, and peers.

The Recognition and Donning Ceremony stands as a testament to the hard work and determination of the Class of 2026 as they prepare to take the next step toward their professional aspirations.

As part of the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Recognition and Donning Ceremony 2026, guest speaker Engr. Krizelle Anne C. Corbal shared an inspiring message to the graduating class at the ISAT U Multipurpose Educational Center on June 17.

A proud product of the institution, Engr. Corbal reminded graduates to value the people who helped shape their journey, saying, “The people around you are the ones who engineer yourself so that you can engineer your future.”

She also emphasized that their hard hats, hoods, and pins symbolize more than academic achievement—they represent years of sacrifice, perseverance, and growth.

Leaving the graduates with a lasting reminder, she shared:

‎Maluwalhating idinaos ang Summer Journey 2026 sa muli nitong pagbabalik, na pinangungunahan ng Ang Biyaya—ang opisyal na publikasyon ng Pavia National High School. Mula sa limang kolaborasyon, nakiisa ang The Signal.
‎
‎Nagbukas ang programa sa nakakaganyak na mensahe ng panauhing tagapagsalita na si Engr. Adrian L. Pillano, isang Registered Electrical Engineer at kasalukuyang Adviser ng The Signal—ang opisyal na publikasyon ng ISAT U College of Engineering and Architecture. Sa kanyang talumpati, binalikan niya ang sariling simula noong 2005 bilang isang "raw" o nangangapang campus journalist, hanggang sa marating ang tugatog ng tagumpay bilang Gold Medalist sa Regional PASUC Competitions.

‎Sa harap ng mga batang manunulat, binigyang-diin niya na ang pamamahayag ay isang sining ng kaluluwa na nangangailangan ng katumpakan, estruktura, at puso. Iniwan niya ang isang hamon na nagpatibay sa determinasyon ng lahat:

‎"Do not fear the technical rules, do not fear the blank page, and never fear the losses. Remember: We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect... We write to inspire! We write to EXPRESS, not to IMPRESS!"

‎Ibinahagi rin niya ang kanyang J-O-U-R-N-E-Y Mantra upang magsilbing gabay ng mga mag-aaral: Journalism bilang layunin, Ownership sa kapangyarihan ng kwento, Unwavering na katotohanan, Resilience sa bawat pagkatalo, Navigating sa mga hamon ng paglago, Excellence sa bawat salita, at You bilang katalista ng pagbabago.

‎Pagpapanday ng Pluma sa Unang Araw
‎
‎Agad na sumiklab ang sigla ng mga batang mamamahayag sa pagbubukas ng mga serye ng workshop sa Kategorya A noong umaga. Pinangunahan nina Ritsdon Lizada Hijastro para sa News Writing, Reyven T. Garcia para sa Editorial Writing, Jason F. Guyala sa Feature Writing, at Vanessa Mae Hallarda para sa Copyediting & Headline Writing ang pagbabahagi ng kanilang kaalaman upang pasiklabin ang husay ng mga kalahok.

‎Hindi pa doon nagtapos ang pagganyak sa mga mag-aaral dahil pagdating ng hapon ay sumabak naman sila sa Kategorya B. Dito ay ibinahagi ni Engr. Adrian L. Pillano ang kanyang sining sa Column Writing, habang si Kent Ronie Huyong naman ang nagturo ng mga estratehiya sa Sports Writing, at si Jiero M. Fernandez para sa Science and Technology Writing.

‎Upang mas mapatibay ang samahan ng mga kinatawan mula sa iba't ibang publikasyon tulad ng Ang Biyaya, The Signal, The Educators’ Gazette, Special Program in Journalism (SPJ), at Archive Studio, tinapos ang unang araw sa isang masayang team building na puno ng kulitan at pagbuo ng mga bagong pagkakaibigan.

‎Pagpupursigi sa Gitna ng Pagsubok
‎
‎Sa pagdating ng Ikalawang Araw para sa Kategorya C, dumaan sa isang hindi inaasahang pagsubok ang programa nang magkaroon ng power interruption o kawalan ng kuryente sa pasilidad. Subalit, hindi ito naging hadlang upang patayin ang kaisipan at dedikasyon ng mga kalahok.
‎Sa kabila ng madilim at mainit na silid, buong-husay na ibinahagi nina Kate Ercel Cataluna (Mobile Journalism), Jude Mars B. Erlano (Newscasting), Frank Andreus Janagap (Photojournalism), at Christian P. Jaud (Editorial Cartooning) ang kanilang kadalubhasaan sa mas modernong mukha ng pamamahayag.

‎Matagumpay na Pagtatapos
‎
‎Ang dalawang araw na siksik sa kaalaman ay nagtapos sa isang madamdaming seremonya ng paggawad ng parangal (Awarding Ceremony) upang kilalanin ang angking galing, pagsisikap, at mga natatanging awtput ng mga campus journalists. Ginawaran din ng sertipiko ng pagpapahalaga ang mga dedikadong tagapagsalita at mga tagapagpadaloy mula sa Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U).

‎Sa huling bahagi ng pagsasara, nag-iwan ng isang makabuluhang mensahe ng pasasalamat ang Program Head na si Raine Jacob Jallorina para sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng tagumpay na ito.
‎Umuwing may baong ngiti, sertipiko, at mas pinalakas na paninindigan ang mga mag-aaral. Ang Summer Journey 2026 ay maaaring nagtapos na, ngunit para sa mga kabataang mamamahayag ng Pavia National High School at mga katuwang nitong kolehiyo, ito pa lamang ang tunay na simula ng isang mas malawak at makabuluhang kwento na kanilang isusulat para sa lipunan.

Newly licensed engineers who passed the April 2026 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination (REELE) was honored at the TLE Center on May 26 for a Testimonial Program celebrating their achievement and inspiring future board examinees.

During the event, the passers shared their experiences, struggles, and lessons throughout their review journey. They highlighted the importance of discipline, perseverance, time management, and faith in overcoming challenges during board exam preparation.

The speakers also encouraged aspiring engineers to remain determined and trust the process despite difficulties and pressure.

The program concluded with messages of congratulations and appreciation for the April 2026 REELE passers, whose success motivated students and future electrical engineers to pursue their goals with dedication.
