"The God of old is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He drives out the enemy before you and commands, 'Destroy!'" - Deuteronomy 33:27 CSB
RECEIVE the BREAD
As Moses concluded his blessing upon Israel, he reminded God's people that their security rested not in themselves but in the Lord. In an uncertain world, believers can live with confidence because God is both their refuge and their strength. This promise is fully realized in Jesus Christ, our eternal Savior.
1. The REFUGE of God's Presence
God Himself is the refuge of His people. Earthly security may fail, but the Lord remains our unchanging shelter. Through Christ, we are reconciled to God and safely dwell in His everlasting presence.
2. The RELIABILITY of God's Power
God not only shelters His people but also strengthens and preserves them. His power never fails. Christ has conquered sin and death, and He faithfully holds His people until the end.
Conclusion
Our confidence is not in our strength but in our Savior. Because Christ is our refuge and His everlasting arms uphold us, we can trust Him in every circumstance.
Reflection Question
Are we resting in our own strength, or in the eternal God whose everlasting arms hold us fast through Christ?

"28 And why do you worry about clothes? Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don't labor or spin thread. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these." - Matthew 6:28-29 CSB
RECEIVE the BREAD
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus addresses the anxiety that often fills our hearts. He points to the lilies of the field as a living illustration of the Father's faithful care. If God so beautifully clothes His creation, how much more will He care for His children in Christ?
1. CONSIDER God's Care (v. 28)
Jesus calls us to "consider the lilies." They neither labor nor worry, yet God provides for them. Instead of being consumed by anxiety, believers are called to trust the Father's wise and loving providence.
2. CELEBRATE God's Christ (v. 29)
Even Solomon's splendor could not compare with the beauty God gave the lilies. This reminds us that God's greatest provision is not earthly riches but Jesus Christ, through whom we receive every spiritual blessing and the assurance of our Father's unfailing care.
Conclusion
Worry looks at life's uncertainties; faith looks to the Father's faithfulness. Since God has given us His Son, we can confidently trust Him to provide all that we truly need.
Reflection Question
Are we consumed by worry over tomorrow, or are we resting today in the faithful care of our Heavenly Father through Christ?

Magandang araw! 😊
God bless!

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time..." - 1 Peter 5:6 CSB
RECEIVE the BREAD
Pride seeks recognition and control, but the gospel calls believers to humility and trust. Peter reminds suffering Christians that the path to true honor begins with submission to God's mighty hand. Our greatest example is Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself in obedience to the Father and was highly exalted.
1. The HUMILITY God Requires (v. 6a)
Peter commands believers to humble themselves under God's mighty hand. Humility is not weakness but a willing submission to God's sovereign will and perfect timing. Like Christ, we are called to trust the Father's purposes, even in seasons of suffering and waiting.
2. The HONOR God Rewards (v. 6b)
God promises that "at the proper time He may exalt you." Exaltation belongs to God, not to us. He lifts up those who faithfully depend upon Him. Our hope is anchored in Christ, who was humbled unto death and exalted in glory. Those united to Him share both His sufferings and His future glory.
Conclusion
True greatness is found not in exalting ourselves but in humbly trusting God's sovereign hand. As we follow Christ in humility, we can confidently wait for the honor that God alone gives in His perfect time.
Reflection Question
Are we striving to exalt ourselves, or are we humbly trusting God to lift us up in His perfect time?
